Durty Nellys,
the yellow building at the bottom of our picture, lies at the foot of Bunratty
Castle. One of the most famous pubs in Ireland, it has been part of the history
of the castle for over 400 years.
Originally the watering hole
of the
castle guards, it is now a favorite with locals and travelers alike.
With its Oyster bar, Loft restaurant and traditional music,
Durty Nellys has been declared the 'official' watering hole of the
McWilliams/Smith party!
